Below is the schedule for the entertainment, including the costume contest, taking place in the TOWER ROOM, on the second floor of the Handlery Hotel. Take the stairs or the elevator to get up there!

Spooky Karaoke (Skary-Oke)
Additionally, we will have Spooky Karaoke (aka Skary-Oke) in the Terrace Room on the first floor from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM!
Skary-Oke will be presented by the Emo Talent Collective (ETC)!

11:00 AM – Horror Writers Association
The Horror Writers Association (HWA) is the world’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization for writers, editors, publishers and other related creative professionals focused on the dark literature and horror genres in books, short stories, poetry, art and film.
Enjoy short snippets of readings from horror authors, including Jon Cohn, Jendia Gammon, and Chad Stroup.
11:30 AM – Ryujin Taiko
12:00 PM – Selkie
Selkie performers vocals of Japanese city pop music, with fun fun Halloween vibes thrown in!
1:00 PM – SPECIAL GUEST PANEL “THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS”
This special guest panel will feature Debi Durst and Glenn Walters, voice actors from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and they will tell stories and talk about their memories of working on the set of the movie!
2:30 PM – EmoRain
EmoRain is a group of musicians and idols that primarily performs anime, Vocaloid/VTuber, and idol music, but has interest in spookier themes as well. Performances include, guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, or dance.
3:00 PM – Deerling
3:30 PM – Kids and Adults Costume Contests
Our costume contest returns to Scream Diego, with the winner getting fun prizes! Kids contest will begin at 330pm, followed by the Adults costume contest!
To participate, just show up in costume 30 to 60 minutes before the contest and sign up! Winners will get prizes like tickets to our upcoming San Diego Anime Con and Tortured Hearts Ball!
Costumes can be home made or store bought. Judging will be by audience participation and will depend on more than just your costume! Show the audience how much fun you’re having and they will pick you as the winner!

5:30 PM – Powderpuff Peep Show
Enter if you dare… into a haunted world of glitter, giggles, and glamour at The Powder Puff Creepshow! This frightfully flirty spectacle casts a spell of cheeky charm and classic burlesque, where feathered fans swirl like ghosts, corsets sparkle like cursed jewels, and every dance is to die for.
Wickedly whimsical and devilishly divine, our glam ghouls serve up high kicks, bold lips, and just the right amount of mischief. Expect teasing tricks, tantalizing treats, and a whole lot of boo-lesque sass in this sinfully sweet showcase of spooky seduction. Come for the chills—stay for the thrills!
